Every Resident A Reader launches today

We are excited to announce the launch of Every Resident A Reader (ERAR), a unique opportunity in North Tyneside to support residents with low literacy skills.

Over the coming months we will be offering drop-in sessions to learn more about what volunteering for this project involves. Initial and follow-up training will be offered to enable volunteers to connect and develop skills to effectively support residents to improve their reading.

The intended impact of this will be to enable residents of North Tyneside to improve their reading in order to access official documents such as covid or other health related information, to support their own children with reading and to benefit from the pleasure of reading. Volunteers will also benefit from developing skills to support adult readers and through networking with other volunteers.
